Founded in 1837 and for close to two centuries has published fiction and nonfiction by many of America’s finest writers. In 1993 Little, Brown created a new trade paperback imprint, Back Bay Books, to focus on long-term publication of the company’s best fiction and nonfiction and to publish original trade paperbacks. Little, Brown is also the home of Bulfinch Press, a leading publisher of art and photography books. Bestselling novelists on our Little, Brown hardcover and Back Bay paperback lists include J. D. Salinger, James Patterson, Herman Wouk, Alice Sebold, Anita Shreve, Walter Mosley, Janet Fitch, John le Carre, Jimmy Buffett, Pete Hamill, David Foster Wallace, and Michael Connelly.

Our Task

On a mission to get even more people to read in this digital age, Paterson, along with Publisher Little Brown, created Bookshots, a new line of short novels you an read in a single sitting. Our task was to get Patterson in multiple markets to talk about his new imprint and all of the newest books he already has lined up.

Skills Involved

This was a unique concept to pitch to media outlets, so being creative was a must. Putting our best on the team, we were able to pull in a strong line-up of interviews that reached over 5 million people in all the top markets in the U.S.
